INDONESIA (LOMBOK)

"In September last year (2012) I travelled to lombok with Ashlea. 8 months later I was travelling back to lombok for her wedding. With out a choice, her heart was determined to aim it's love towards Aris, a local "beach boy". Some see this as a quick marriage some may say it is not pure love because of the different cultures and the stereotypes that go along with them. Doubts and wonders, are all things that naturally tag along to anything that is unusual to people and their culture…. on both sides. For Ash' family and also Aris’. With the problem of Ash not being a Muslim and the question if Aris has the right intentions. To prove to those who's doubts lead their lives and never allow them selves to seek out their own answers I have documented the whole wedding that went on for 4 days. Hopefully this will help clear that cloud that has been blocking some peoples vision of the love two people can have for one another, no matter what circumstances, and two of my dear friends Ash and Aris are a perfect example. I was overwhelmed by the support Ash had by her family, naturally it is a scary thing but all a mother, a father and a brother ever wants is for their daughter and sister to be happy. This may not have been the wedding Ash would have pictured herself having, but it is one where two cultures blend to support two people in love. It's not rocket science."

This documentary shall be uploaded in the next coming month, as I am heading up to the Gold Coast to reunite with the lovely husband and wife, and also film some snipits of their new life in Aus! Looking forward to seeing the Jungle Boy on the Gold Coast!

This film below, is a short movie I made back September when I first discovered the lovely Island that Lombok is.
