THE "PLAN"

To be honest, I don't really have a plan as such. I just wrote that to sound like I'm organised. First things first, I am heading over seas starting in North America, South America then over to Europe. I have been making little trips overseas ever since I left high school and have returned home each time with an unfinished feeling, soon to discover that there is a medical condition called "Dromomania" which means 'An uncontrollable impulse or desire to roam or travel'. I then started to panic and may or may not have diagnosed myself with this but for valid reasons, for an example - I have attempted University 3 times and travelled instead... in which I've come to a realisation that maybe at this time in my life I shouldn't be locked in a classroom stressing my brains out over an exam or because I didn't remember to bring a pen to class (and I suck at both of these things). Right now my passion is indeed travelling, film and music.  On my return to Aus from Lombok back in April my wondering mind got me thinking that why not use these passions to create something beautiful. Whilst I was in Lombok just this year for a friends wedding, I subconsciously had my camera out ever second like I was paparazzi of the Island in a dying thirst to capture every moment, as being a bridesmaid in a traditional Muslim wedding isn't an every day thing! (for a westerner) At the end of the first day in Lombok, I was so overwhelmed by the whole journey that these two amazing friends of mine have gone through and what they are about to embark on! So I decided to make a Documentary on their wedding, to share the love that two people can have for one another no matter what the circumstances are! This documentary shall be released some time in July! But on my return I kept finding myself looking out into the distance on numerous occasions day dreaming about being somewhere else but Australia. I then read this article a friend linked to me called "3 reason to travel while you are young" ... as it quotes "When you get older, life seems to just sort of happen to you. Your youth is a time of total empowerment. You get to do what you want. During early adulthood, your worldview is still being formed. It’s important to steward this time — to give yourself opportunities to grow. A good way to do that is to travel"... my decision had been finalised after I read this and I made a quick (maybe silly) decision to get the hell out of Melbourne with a one way ticket, as much as I do love Melbourne it is to familiar to me. With the adrenaline running through my body I started to sell my belongings, like my wardrobe while still having 5 weeks until I left... my floor then became my new wardrobe (one of the silly decisions I made) Along these travels I will be creating episodes each month of every adventure I come across, that way you can keep up with my life (my mum will be peeled to this website 24/7, it's okay it's not stalking maba) and you may also learn a few things along the way about a culture different than ours. So I’ve created this website as my creative space and escape for my travels and music. I hope you enjoy and keep posted, and I shall see you all soon.
